A sad story

 A man was washing his car.

He had just finished polishing it.
He was looking at his reflection
shining back at him.
He was admiring the car’s
spotless finish
when he noticed his 4 year old son
with a sharp stone in his hand.
He was scratching lines on the car.
In anger the man hit his son's hand
with the can of wax he was holding.
The sharp edge cut off
one of the child’s fingers.
He later asked his dad,
"When will my finger grow back?"
The man was hurt
and became speechless.
He went back to the car and kicked it.
He then glimpsed what the child had scratched on the car.
"Love you dad".

  Once upon a time, a traveler arrived at the gate of a city after a long and exhausting journey. He paused for a moment, gazing at the city and pondering about the people who lived within. Nearby, he noticed an old man sitting quietly. The traveler approached him and inquired about the kind of people who resided in the city.   I have the power to change my thoughts in a second. I'm allowed to do what I want with my life. I have the power to change myself. I allow myself to play and enjoy life. I am making a difference in this world. I am at peace with all that has happened. I am at peace with all that is happening. I am at peace with all that will happen. My life is just beginning. Today, I abandon my old habits. I take up new habits, more positive ones. I've given up my bad habits and am so grateful for that. I am now free from my bad habits. I only do positive habits. I am thankful that I get to live another day. I see the world with beauty and color. I deserve whatever good comes my way today. Today is rich with opportunity. I open my heart to receive the opportunities of today. I take the time to show my friends that I care about them. I live a positive life and seek only the best.
